Tim Troeger

Founder of HausHalten Association, Leipzig

Born in 1968, grown up in a binational family (German/Slovakian), is educated as architect. As a student he spent some time in Argentine (Buenos Aires) and Spain (Barcelona) for internships. He was engaged in different NGOs and worked for different planning-offices as a freelancer in the field of urban development and mobility in Leipzig (Germany). Here he in 1997 together with Fritjof Mothes founded "Stadtlabor", an office for urban- and mobility-planning. The focus of his work there is urban design, public spaces design and transport. In 2004 Tim was one of the founders of "HausHalten", an NGO promoting and organizing the revitalization of vacant historic buildings which are listed as monuments.
